Heat tie up NBA Finals with huge 103-84 win over San Antonio

It didn't take Miami long to even up the NBA finals, the Heat put on a dominating performance against the San Antonio Spurs Sunday night by a score of 103-84.

The highlight of the game was LeBron James’s block of Tiago Splitter early in the fourth quarter. Normally James is known for his amazing displays on offense, but this defensive effort will be talked about well after the finals conclude. LeBron was asked about the play after the game, “Basically, I told myself, you’ll end up on SportsCenter one way or another, either getting dunked on going to get a block,”. James drew immediate controversy from his remarks, with most fans who dislike him, saying that he should focus on the game and whether or not he’ll be included in ESPN’s SportsCenter “Top10”.

The 2013 NBA MVP had a decent game, scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. His all-around performance helped the The Spurs lead 62-61 late in the third quarter, when Miami went on a 33-5 run. James had help from outside of the “Big 3”. Mario Chalmers, Ray Allen, and Mike Miller, while Chris Bosh had a rough time.

San Antonio is looking for revenge after the blowout. Game 3 of the NBA Finals will tip off on the Spurs home court on Tuesday night June 11th at 9 pm ET. The game will be televised on ABC.
